La Fayette 20.02.1962 Normandie, Paris "La Fayette" had its premiere in January 1962 on the newly build french ocean liner FRANCE during the first passage from Le Havre to New York. The FRANCE had a cinema on board with a capacity of 664 seats, 2 x DP70 and a 16mm projector, five front sound speakers and 14 effect speakers. The screen was 10 meter width.
